Going Up... by LindaR
Couldn’t resist this fabulous / streak across the evening sky / still so blue / the shimmering off the body and wing / trailing clouds of white streamers in its wake… In the turning of this image / I realized I could point this plane in any direction / Up or down, East or West… / it wouldn’t change a thing / ...except my perception / and in the choosing / my feelings & thoughts trailed along / in relationship to my choice… / Perception & attitude / pick your point of view / shift in attitude / ...and if you’re going my way, / I’ll save you seat next to me :) xxx

You Left This Behind by Peggy Sue Harrington
A fingerprint from a photo shoot with first graders. This is one of many large fundraising art projects for my daughter’s school all incorporating the human hand as a theme. This fingerprint is less than one-half inch long and less than one-quarter inch wide. Canon 40D / 100mm macro lens

White Out by Joanne Bradley
A North American expression used to describe a snow condition where visibility is so poor we cannot see anything beyond a short distance. / Totally appropriate today during a snowstorm… / I was only outside the car about 10 minutes to get a few shots, but by then my hands had turned into blocks of ice and were tingling. The wind was brutally cold. Needless to say after a few important errands we retired to the comfort of our warm home and did not venture out again. / A lovely area in other seasons, this bench is on a small hill overlooking the Lake of Two Mountains, the distant shore, and the neighboring town of St-Eustache, Quebec CANADA Nikon D40, Nikkor 18-55mm lens Featured in the Benches group, December 21st 2008 / Featured in the ImageWriting Group December 24th 2008

About This Group
Minimalism (wikipedia definition) ....movements in various forms of art and design, where the work is stripped down to its most fundamental features. The minimalist photography emphasizes simplicity and objectivity.
The aim of Minimalism is to allow the viewer to experience the work more intensely without the distractions of composition, theme and so on.
Some simple standard guidelines:
- One upload a day only. Please don’t flood the group. This gives a chance for everyones work to be featured on the front page and also be viewed by other members. I will delete images from members who upload more than one image.
- Don’t critique an art piece unless explicitly stated by the artist that they want critique.
- Also consider the nature of the group minimalist. I have seen a few images that have too many competing elements to really be classed as minimalist. I know this is open to personal interpretation and I am open to suggestions how we as members can insure that the theme of the group is upheld.
- Please remember that if your art work is deleted from the group, it was deleted due to point 1 and potentially point 3 above. It does NOT reflect on the quality of the art work itself.
- Any questions/suggestions, Bubblemail me (I love getting Bubblemail).
